Industry Update – 2022 & Beyond
Speaker:
Mike Dordick, President
When: May 17, 8:45 a.m.

The pandemic helped accelerate the growth of home-based care, and this trend is expected to continue into 2022 and beyond. With the spotlight placed on home care as the preferred method for health care delivery and the best value proposition in our health care system, the demand for post-acute services has never been higher. As we move forward, an agency’s ability to navigate the evolution of home-based care; invest in technology to improve efficiency and care delivery; and prepare for staffing and growth challenges, ultimately increasing their organizational agility, will forecast their stance in today’s market. Industry participants expect continued consolidation due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19, disruption caused by PDGM, the shift to value-based care, widespread adoption of telehealth, and favorable reimbursement trends. As the various settings begin to realize expanded measures in survey, performance, quality, and incentives, home health’s familiarity with this level of transparency may add to the stability of this setting as the provider for further patient solutions. Join this session as we discuss hot topics in the industry as well as areas of expansion, solutions, and innovation that may be on the horizon.
