UDSMR’s training and educational sessions are highly regarded and well respected, and its clinical expertise goes beyond IRF-PAI completion and coding with services on chart audits and documentation, remote coding services, education, IRF-PAI completion and more.
Erin Duffey-Dupreé, MS, is a Clinical Consulting Manager at McBee. She has over 20 years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation. Erin has conducted IRF chart audits for 18 years and is an expert in both the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Prospective Payment System (IRF PPS) and Medicare’s IRF documentation requirements. In addition, she oversees McBee’s Clinical Consulting Supervisors and ETC’s workshops, webinars, clinical consultations, and educational resources. Erin has been with UDSMR, now part of McBee, for over 17 years.
Marjorie Mantione, PT, is a Clinical Consulting Manager at McBee. She has over 20 years of experience in rehabilitation audits, including 14 years in management roles. Marjorie oversees McBee’s IRF coding and clinical chart audit services and manages ETC’s Clinical Consulting Supervisors and Coders in this service line. She is well versed in Medicare and Medicare Advantage IRF compliance regulations. In addition, Marjorie presents webinars and workshops related to IRF regulatory compliance and documentation education.
Stacy Johnson, BSN, RN, CRRN, is a supervisor of clinical consulting services at McBee. Stacy’s past experience as a PPS coordinator and an admissions coordinator, as well as in utilization review, adds to the already robust expertise of UDSMR’s clinical staff. Her IRF PPS experience helps facilities understand the payment system and Medicare regulations, ensure the accuracy of their codes, and maintain compliance. Stacy’s many responsibilities include conducting chart audits, developing and presenting workshops and webinars, and creating educational materials.
Heather Girard, PT, MSPT, CSRS, CBIS, joined UDSMR as a supervisor in clinical consulting services in December 2019. She shares her knowledge by preparing and conducting webinars and training workshops and by conducting chart audits and facility-specific consultations. She also provides clinical support to subscribers as part of UDSMR’s clinical support help desk and by developing educational resources. Heather’s experience includes 15 years in the inpatient rehabilitation field as a staff physical therapist and roles in both therapy and program leadership.
Janet Patrick, RN, CRRN, is a supervisor of clinical consulting services at McBee. In this role, Janet provides answers to questions about the IRF PPS. She regularly contributes to the development of educational tools and presentations that further the industry’s understanding of critical regulations. She also conducts chart audits, consultations, and educational workshops and provides IRFs with recommendations and feedback for improving their practices. Janet draws upon her experience as a PPS coordinator at an inpatient rehabilitation facility. In this role, she completed the IRF-PAI, provided PPS education to staff members, and helped overturn denials.
Alexandra Riley, MS, OTR/L, is a supervisor of clinical consulting services at McBee. In this role, she participates in chart audits, education and training workshops and webinars, and resource development in order to help facilities understand IRF rules and regulations. Alex draws upon her experience as a PPS coordinator and her clinical expertise as an OT to help facilities understand the importance of QI coding and accurate IRF-PAI completion.
