His expertise centers on restructuring organizations to improve bottom lines in the short-term and for longstanding operational efficiency. Mike’s leadership and experience aides in the growth of the firm, as well as in the success of our clients to achieve significant performance improvements, while improving patient outcomes.
Bob Braun, Senior Vice President, has over 20 years of experience in senior management roles within health care and the public sector. He leads the organization in managing key client relationship strategies and supports the team in aligning the firm’s service offerings with the ongoing industry changes that impact post acute providers nationwide. Bob has extensive experience in account management, territory analysis, staff development, strategic planning, and leadership. In addition to his healthcare experience, Bob is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served two tours in the Persian Gulf.
Lisa Selman-Holman, JD, BSN, RN, HCS-D, COS-C, is the VP of Clinical Services at McBee, bringing over 35 years of expertise in home health and hospice. As a registered nurse and home care attorney, she specializes in regulatory compliance. Lisa has held various roles, from field nurse to executive, managing accreditation surveys, acquisitions, and regulatory crises. In 2004, she founded Selman-Holman & Associates, offering consulting, coding and OASIS review services. Lisa is a renowned educator, known for turning challenges into achievements. Joining McBee in 2021, she leads education initiatives at the Post-Acute Academy, providing courses for home health and hospice staff and executives, including clinical, regulatory and onboarding requirements.
Jeffrey Silvershein, Senior Vice President, has more than 30 years of health care operations and financial experience. As a leader in revenue cycle and clinical operations, Jeffrey partners with acute and post-acute providers to ensure their financial success. Jeffrey expanded our case management support services, developing a practice to assist hospitals with utilization review needs. He also developed and continues to grow our denials and appeals management services, delivering reductions in denials and enhanced revenue protection. Jeffrey leads our corporate training initiatives to ensure employees develop their professional skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Alan Yagoda, Vice President of Engineering, has over 30 years of technology leadership experience in health care, financial services, and consulting. With a background in commercial product development in both global organizations and technology startups, he has helped companies deliver successful innovations across the areas of business intelligence and analytics, data science, and cloud computing. Alan has responsibility for McBee’s product development, technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations.
Sandy Piersol has over 25 years of healthcare experience. She has demonstrated broad strengths in health care operations, healthcare fraud and abuse, and compliance risk management. She has been a frequent speaker on healthcare compliance related topics. As Compliance Officer, Sandy provides guidance for the Board and the senior management team on matters relating to compliance. She oversees the Corporate Compliance Program, functioning as an objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. This position ensures the Board of Directors, management, and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company’s Standards of Conduct.
Dawn Cheek is a Clinical Consulting Director at McBee. She is involved with home health, hospice, and hospital engagements and has been a healthcare consultant for 13 years. She has performed Medicare compliance reviews and related chart reviews for home health agencies, hospices, and hospitals. Her nursing background, coupled with her leadership experience, allows her to effectively monitor operational process and agency compliance.
Edith Ragland is a Director in McBee’s Richmond, VA office. She has significant experience with health care financial management engagements with over 25 years working with home health and hospice agencies, hospitals, SNFs, and physician practices. Edith has been the leader of a multi-facet of engagements including: home health and hospice operational and financial assessments, home health and hospice agency turn-around services, process improvement, interim management, and billing outsource services. With her assistance, clients have achieved marginal goals, stabilized and improved processes.
Karen Tibbs, RN, MS, HCS-D, COS-C, Director, Coding & OASIS QA, is a registered nurse with a Masters of Science in Health Care Quality. She has 22 years of home care experience with extensive knowledge in medical review, regulatory compliance, ICD-10 and OASIS accuracy. Karen has earned the Home Care Coding Specialist – Diagnosis (HCS-D) and the Certificate for OASIS Specialist – Clinical (COS-C).
Kayla Wormser has 16 years of experience in healthcare with a focus on home health for the past 14 years. She started with McBee in 2014, where she provides clinical, financial, and regulatory guidance for provider challenges. She works closely with the sales team to provide a clinical proponent to prospective new clients. Kayla has earned the Home Care Coding Specialist – Diagnosis (HCS-D) and the Certificate for OASIS Specialist – Clinical (COS-C).
Keith Dapprich, Director, joined McBee in 2015 and is a leader within the firm’s Clinical Consulting department, which serves the industry by providing services such as merger and acquisition (M&A) diligence support, clinical compliance reviews, medical denial reviews, hospice Cap services, corporate compliance reviews, and accreditation/survey assessment and preparation. Keith currently leads a team of analysts and senior analysts within the Clinical Consulting department, and he has a wealth of knowledge of the home health, hospice, and non-medical/private duty home care industries. Prior to joining McBee’s Clinical Consulting team, Keith held several positions on McBee’s Advisory Consulting team, providing financial, operational, management and revenue cycle consulting services to the post-acute healthcare industry. His expertise includes healthcare services M&A due diligence, revenue cycle operations, post-acute healthcare financial consulting and billing compliance, healthcare corporate compliance, Medicare hospice Cap analysis, and post-acquisition financial reconciliations.
Mykel Banks has more than 10 years of consulting experience in comprehensive compliance oversight and maintenance. Mykel has extensive experience in ensuring facilities full corporate awareness, understanding, and compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations. Mykel has developed and implemented key policies and driven operational compliance to facilitating compliance audits and overseeing high-performing teams, including many drug diversion audits.
Arrica Canty, RN, BSN, CCM, LNC is a Senior Clinical Consulting Manager at McBee. She has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, with over 18 years as a registered nurse and 15 years in home health. Her contributions to the healthcare field include experiences in home health, hospital, and academia environments. She has a broad base of consulting and operational experience for home health, quality management, utilization review/management and case management, and medicolegal realms.
Dee Geray, RN, is a Senior Clinical Consulting Manager at McBee with more than 20 years of experience working in the hospice industry. She has extensive expertise in hospice clinical compliance, case management, and leadership, and works with hospice providers nationwide to perform Medicare compliance reviews and establish internal audit plans.
Angie Karr, BSN, RN, HCS-D, HCS-O, is a Director in the OASIS and Coding department at McBee. She has a BSN with 15 years of homecare experience, with knowledge in medical review, ICD-10 and OASIS accuracy. Angie has worked in many areas of home health including field clinician, Case Manager, Education and Quality. Angie has partnered with her clients to assist in developing processes to improve clinical and financial outcomes.
Lisa Linton has provided consulting and interim management services for human services, senior living, acute and post-acute providers. She specializes in healthcare process improvement, regulatory compliance, and team development. Lisa brings more than 20 years of professional experience, encompassing revenue optimization, implementation of best practices and developing training and quality assurance programs.
Shirley Vazquez, BSN, MSN, MHA, senior manager of appeals joined McBee in 2018. She has over 20 years’ experience in Case Management, Utilization Review, precertification, chart audits, appeals, RACs, LTAC, IP Rehab, and SNF levels of care. These audits, reviews and denials include medical necessity, quality review, and DRG appeals.
Erin Duffey-Dupreé is a Clinical Consulting Manager in the Education, Training, and Consultation (ETC) Department at McBee. She has over 20 years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation. Erin has conducted IRF chart audits for 18 years and is an expert in both the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Prospective Payment System (IRF PPS) and Medicare’s IRF documentation requirements. In addition, she oversees McBee’s Clinical Consulting Supervisors and ETC’s workshops, webinars, clinical consultations, and educational resources. Erin has been with UDSMR for over 17 years.
Marjorie Mantione is a Clinical Consulting Manager in the Education, Training, and Consultation (ETC) Department at McBee. She has over 20 years of experience in rehabilitation audits, including 14 years in management roles. Marjorie oversees McBee’s IRF coding and clinical chart audit services and manages ETC’s Clinical Consulting Supervisors and Coders in this service line. She is versed in Medicare and Medicare Advantage IRF compliance regulations. In addition, Marjorie presents webinars and workshops related to IRF regulatory compliance and documentation education.
