Mike’s leadership and experience aides in the growth of the firm, as well as in the success of our clients to achieve significant performance improvements, while improving patient outcomes.

Bob Braun

Bob Braun, Senior Vice President, has over 20 years of experience in senior management roles within health care and the public sector. He leads the organization in managing key client relationship strategies and supports the team in aligning the firm’s service offerings with the ongoing industry changes that impact post acute providers nationwide. Bob has extensive experience in account management, territory analysis, staff development, strategic planning, and leadership. In addition to his healthcare experience, Bob is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served two tours in the Persian Gulf.

Maria Warren, Vice President, joined McBee in 2010 and leads the Advisory and Clinical Consulting teams across the McBee care continuum. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the healthcare industry to guide our clients in improving clinical outcomes, increasing cash flow, and developing best practice operations. Her areas of expertise include M&A advisory, revenue cycle and operational re-design and strategy, EMR feature functionality reviews, and clinical compliance support.

Lisa Selman-Holman, JD, BSN, RN, HCS-D, COS-C, Vice President of Education & Quality at McBee, brings more than 35 years of experience in the home health and hospice industry, specializing in regulatory compliance, both as an RN and a home care attorney. Lisa founded Selman-Holman CoDR (Coding Done Right), a coding outsource and audit company, which was acquired by McBee in 2021. In her role as VP of Education & Quality, Lisa leads the education team in producing quality education through live events and online via Post-Acute Academy. Post-Acute Academy includes a robust catalog of courses in home health and hospice hot topics as well as onboarding requirements. Additionally, Lisa leads the quality audit team to ensure the highest-level of accuracy in coding and clinical documentation internally at McBee and externally for clients nationwide. Lisa is the past chair of the Board of Medical Specialty Coding and Compliance (BMSCC) and is an originator of the Homecare Coding Specialist-Diagnosis (HCS-D), Homecare Clinical Specialist-OASIS (HCS-O) and Homecare Coding Specialist-Hospice (HCS-H) credentials. She is an AHIMA Approved ICD-10-CM Trainer.

Jeff Aaronson, Vice President of Advisory Consulting at McBee, assists post-acute providers toward achieving operational and financial excellence through maximization of technology, process redesign and analytics. Jeff has served as VP of Finance and other senior leadership roles within home health and hospice providers, in addition to years of experience working in healthcare IT. His significant financial management experience within the provider community gives him a wealth of knowledge and expertise focused on the operations of home health and hospice providers.

Jeffrey Silvershein, Senior Vice President, has more than 30 years of health care operations and financial experience. As a leader in revenue cycle and clinical operations, Jeffrey partners with acute and post-acute providers to ensure their financial success. Jeffrey expanded our case management support services, developing a practice to assist hospitals with utilization review needs. He also developed and continues to grow our denials and appeals management services, delivering reductions in denials and enhanced revenue protection. Jeffrey leads our corporate training initiatives to ensure employees develop their professional skills, knowledge, and abilities.

With a background in commercial product development in both global organizations and technology startups, he has helped companies deliver successful innovations across the areas of business intelligence and analytics, data science, and cloud computing. Alan has responsibility for McBee’s product development, technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations.

Sandy Piersol has over 25 years of healthcare experience. She has demonstrated broad strengths in health care operations, healthcare fraud and abuse, and compliance risk management. She has been a frequent speaker on healthcare compliance related topics. As Compliance Officer, Sandy provides guidance for the Board and the senior management team on matters relating to compliance. She oversees the Corporate Compliance Program, functioning as an objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. This position ensures the Board of Directors, management, and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company’s Standards of Conduct.

Dawn Cheek is a Clinical Consulting Director at McBee. She is involved with home health, hospice, and hospital engagements and has been a healthcare consultant for 13 years. She has performed Medicare compliance reviews and related chart reviews for home health agencies, hospices, and hospitals. Her nursing background, coupled with her leadership experience, allows her to effectively monitor operational process and agency compliance.

Marc has extensive experience in strategic planning, regulatory compliance, staff development, and leadership.

Michael Puskarich

Michael Puskarich has an MBA in Health Services Administration. He is in his fourth year as Director of Advisory Consulting at McBee. He has over three decades of experience with a proven history of success in numerous health care delivery settings, including home health, hospice, acute care, extended care, physician practice, mental health, and not-for-profit providers. Michael’s expertise includes development of cost reduction reforms such as accountable care organizations (ACOs) and other initiatives to reduce spending within healthcare. He also has a deep understanding of the behavioral health links to all care delivery platforms as well as strategic planning, information systems and processes, navigating regulatory changes, payer contract negotiations and strategies, and strong fiscal management. Michael has also been recognized for outstanding leadership and has been an active advocate for the home health industry.

She has significant experience with health care financial management engagements with over 25 years working with home health and hospice agencies, hospitals, SNFs, and physician practices. Edith has been the leader of a multi-facet of engagements including: home health and hospice operational and financial assessments, home health and hospice agency turn-around services, process improvement, interim management, and billing outsource services. With her assistance, clients have achieved marginal goals, stabilized and improved processes.

Carissa McKenna, RN, BSN, COS-C, HCS-D, Director of Clinical Consulting at McBee, has more than 25 years of experience in the health care industry. In her role at McBee, she has been involved in many aspects of client fulfillment, including OASIS and coding, episode management and on-site education. While specializing in performance improvement, Carissa is also experienced in managed care, health maintenance organizations, quality assurance, clinical documentation, integrated chronic care management, and education. She is experienced in both the home health and hospice survey processes, accreditation compliance, and Medicare regulations. While working with providers, Carissa has developed and implemented several clinical workflows, as well as documentation and quality assurance tools.

She has 22 years of home care experience with extensive knowledge in medical review, regulatory compliance, ICD-10 and OASIS accuracy. Karen has earned the Home Care Coding Specialist – Diagnosis (HCS-D) and the Certificate for OASIS Specialist – Clinical (COS-C).

Kayla Wormser has 16 years of experience in healthcare with a focus on home health for the past 14 years. She started with McBee in 2014, where she provides clinical, financial, and regulatory guidance for provider challenges. She works closely with the sales team to provide a clinical proponent to prospective new clients. Kayla has earned the Home Care Coding Specialist – Diagnosis (HCS-D) and the Certificate for OASIS Specialist – Clinical (COS-C).

Keith Dapprich

Keith Dapprich, Director, joined McBee in 2015 and is a leader within the firm’s Clinical Consulting department, which serves the industry by providing services such as merger and acquisition (M&A) diligence support, clinical compliance reviews, medical denial reviews, hospice Cap services, corporate compliance reviews, and accreditation/survey assessment and preparation. Keith currently leads a team of analysts and senior analysts within the Clinical Consulting department, and he has a wealth of knowledge of the home health, hospice, and non-medical/private duty home care industries. Prior to joining McBee’s Clinical Consulting team, Keith held several positions on McBee’s Advisory Consulting team, providing financial, operational, management and revenue cycle consulting services to the post-acute healthcare industry. His expertise includes healthcare services M&A due diligence, revenue cycle operations, post-acute healthcare financial consulting and billing compliance, healthcare corporate compliance, Medicare hospice Cap analysis, and post-acquisition financial reconciliations.
