Wayne, Penn., June 30, 2021 — Netsmart announced today it has acquired Selman-Holman & Associates from Briggs Healthcare Company, a Texas-based full-service consulting firm specializing in assisting home care agencies and hospices across the nation to maximize their potential through regulatory compliance, OASIS and coding accuracy and in-depth staff education and training. Selman-Holman will become part of McBee, a division of Netsmart. McBee is the leading provider of OASIS, minimum data set (MDS) coding and advisory consulting services for post-acute care.
The acquisition of Selman-Holman, an industry-leading organization within the home care and hospice community, will extend the Netsmart CareFabric® platform with improved solutions for OASIS coding, Pre-Claim Review, enhanced regulatory support capabilities and strengthened educational offerings. The addition of Selman-Holman allows McBee to offer clients greater automation, training capacity, deeper benchmark comparisons and more specialized services than any other vendor in the market.

The educational offerings cover topics including Patient-Driven Grouping Model, home care and hospice coding, OASIS, home care documentation, coverage and eligibility, fraud and abuse, regulatory compliance and more. Selman-Holman will provide an enhanced array of informative educational services that will become part of the McBee offerings and will be recognized as the Post-Acute Academy powered by Selman-Holman.

This integration will enable providers with the tools to digitize the entire enterprise of an organization and deliver improved solutions for regulatory compliance, reimbursement optimization and quality measurement. These acquisitions build on and expand the Netsmart suite of clinical, financial and reporting solutions to meet the complex requirements of value-based care across post-acute care.
