Wayne, Pa. (April 23, 2019) – McBee leadership will present three sessions at the Association for Home & Hospice Care (AHHC) of North Carolina’s Annual Convention & Expo. The sessions will take place in Raleigh, NC, on April 30.
Karen Tibbs, McBee Quality Manager, OASIS & Coding Services, RN, MS, HCS-D, COS-C, will present the session “OASIS-D: Ensuring a Successful Transition.” New section GG items will be thoroughly explained and compared to the current ADI/IADL items. Best practices for assessment and ensuring the correlation of OASIS responses and comprehensive documentation will also be discussed. Karen has 22 years of home care experience with extensive knowledge in medical review, regulatory compliance, ICD-10 and OASIS accuracy. In her role, she ensures McBee’s OASIS & Coding services meet quality standards and provides education and training to the team.
Laurie Salmons, McBee Clinical Consulting Manager, RN, BS, will present the session “Episode Management in a PDGM World.” An overview of PDGM and the key clinical and operational strategies to effectively manage patients’ episodes will be discussed. Laurie is a manager in McBee’s episode management practice and specializes in outcomes and performance improvement for home care providers.
Jeri Ann Kelly, McBee Chief Nursing Officer, BSN, RN, MBA, will present the session “The DISC Model of Human Behavior and How It Can Work For You.” An explanation of the DISC Model will be provided as well as best practices on how to use the model to reduce conflict, relate to others and improve productivity in the workplace. Jeri Ann has more than 28 years of experience in health care leadership. Her understanding of the clinical, operational and financial issues that acute and post-acute providers face allows her to lead her team in providing the best outcomes for her clients.
