Wayne, PA (March. 16, 2021) – McBee advised Grant Avenue Capital, LLC on the acquisition of a majority interest in Valeo Home Health and Hospice, an award-winning agency serving the Greater Salt Lake and Utah counties.  The Valeo transaction is Grant Avenue Capital’s first deal in its broader home-based care buy and build initiative.

Grant Avenue Capital is a healthcare-focused private equity firm pursuing investment opportunities across the healthcare landscape including services, devices, pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical services, and healthcare technology. The Grant Avenue Capital team has more than 25 years of healthcare investment experience, providing portfolio companies and partners with operational insight and flexible capital for growth.  Specifically, members of the firm have a long history of successfully investing in home health and hospice, starting in the early 2000s and across numerous, industry-leading companies.

“The Grant Avenue Capital team has put a strong focus on looking for the right investment in the industry and as the demand for home health and hospice services delivered in the home increases, we think this acquisition has set them up for success for their future in the home-based care market,” said Mike Dordick, President of McBee. “We were thrilled to partner with Grant Avenue Capital as the firm takes their first step in a broader home-based care buy and build initiative.”

Grant Avenue Capital engaged McBee for the buy-side due diligence in the transaction. The McBee merger and acquisition approach includes reviewing clinical documentation, compliance and operational processes to confirm that an organization evaluated for acquisition is meeting regulatory requirements and to identify potential risk.

“McBee is a trusted advisor and the right partner for Grant Avenue Capital as we plan to accelerate the expansion of Valeo and other home-based care investments through strategic acquisitions,” said Buddy Gumina, Founder and Managing Partner of Grant Avenue Capital. “The McBee team provided us with the insight, data and information we needed to successfully complete the Valeo acquisition.”
