IRF PPS Proficiency Check: IRF-PAI Completion

This webinar allows participants to validate what they know about completing each section of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI), version 4.2. Prior to the webinar, attendees will complete an assessment consisting of proficiency questions that target specific areas of IRF-PAI completion. The assessment will take approximately thirty minutes. The prewebinar assessment questions will cover identifying IRF-PAI sections and items required by CMS for a successful submission. The live presentation will include a review of the rationales for the correct answers to the proficiency questions, based on CMS’s guidelines for IRF-PAI completion and relevant UDSMR® resources.

Target Audience: Inpatient rehabilitation professionals including PPS coordinators, Admission Liaisons, rehabilitation physicians and program directors.

Learning Outcomes:

• Identify knowledge gaps through prewebinar proficiency questions.
• Examine QI coding guidelines as they relate to the scenarios in the prewebinar assessment.
• Analyze UDSMR and CMS’s resources related to coding the IRF-PAI for Section GG and H items.
