IRF PPS Certification – January 2024

This program recognizes the knowledge and competency of individuals regarding IRF PPS guidelines and standards in the inpatient rehabilitation industry. By completing this course and passing the UDSMR® IRF PPS Certification Exam, a rehab professional demonstrates a higher understanding of the required guidelines.

This two-day workshop focuses on CMS’s IRF PPS regulations, accurate IRF-PAI completion, scoring QI items, and IRF PPS coding rules, preparing attendees to sit for the IRF PPS Certification exam.

Part 1: Tuesday, January 16, 2023 | 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Eastern

Part 2: Wednesday, January 17, 2023 | 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Eastern

Candidates are required to meet the following prerequisites to be eligible for the IRF PPS Certification Exam:

• At least one year of experience in inpatient rehabilitation, some experience completing the IRF-PAI, and successful completion of the PPS Boot Camp, or at least two years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation with IRF PPS exposure
• A passing score of 90% or higher on each section of the QI credentialing exam, regardless of which template is used
• Attendance at parts 1 and 2 of the UDSMR® IRF PPS Certification Course
• A grade of 85% or higher is required to pass the UDSMR® IRF PPS Certification Exam, taken at a later date.

This is an individual certification. All candidates who take the exam will own the title for two full years and will carry the title with them in the event of a change in employment.
